Is it glib to say this has been an overly rainy summer? We’re still not that well-versed on what a typical New England summer should be … but this was not it!
I know … and it’s true … all the world is dealing with havoc, and most of us human types, not so well. So, in light of the world falling apart, how dare I say … it’s still so very lovely out here?
What evocative, densely colored miniatures! Let our beautiful, peaceful landscape continue to color our own thinking!

Hi Christi—I’ve been hearing the term “both /and” a lot lately. The world is both horrendous and wonderful. We can hold both at the same time.

Thank you, Renee. I’m working at the writing – and drawing – that is able to straddle the big scary chasm. I’m pleased you catch this, and I’m really pleased to hear from you. Much love! –c

Thank you! I always have to chuckle at such comments, for my art, truly, isn’t that great. But how, in filling a page, it seems to come together. Drawing does make me happy.

Sometimes I have to draw the same steeple I’ve drawn before … I might run out of steeples!
