Living in New England means the not-too-often chance to visit Oregon and old friends. & what a visit! The weather could not have been lovelier, the old friends friendlier. I was happy. ¶ When I returned home, my 25 lbs. of beach pebbles were waiting for me. Flat-rate postage … such a great idea.
I’m so glad you had such a good time when you were here. I didn’t go to the beach often as a kid because my mom got ear aches, but I made up for it with my kids. We used to go to Hug Point to find sand dollars, and the kids used to hug, wrestle and laugh all the way up that long road. Such a good memory.

Same to you … I would have loved to see you there, but knowing we can reach each other is almost as good. Hugs.

Christi,
Long ago you mailed me some of your bookmarkers. I still treasure them, along with your beautifully dressed envelope. I’m a long-time fan of your lettering! I am an upper midwesterner from N. Michigan, transplanted to Shoreline, WA, so can understand having parts of your life in two different places.

Thanks Claire, it’s pretty great getting to have a long-time fan. Sometimes I feel like I’m in a very quiet world and mostly unknown. So … who knew?
